| Abstract | In Hong Kong, bamboo scaffolding is an indispensable material in the money-spinning construction business. The ubiquitous bamboo scaffolding can be seen in just about every construction project in Hong Kong. Even when it comes to the construction of some of the world's tallest and most sophisticated buildings, the unassuming and decidedly low-tech bamboo scaffolding is employed. This article provides an introduction of bamboo scaffolding in Hong Kong, its history, functions and types. |
