AbstractDespite the development of textile machine building in recent years, China still needs to import vast quantities of textile machinery. Many officials want the domestic textile machinery plants to upgrade their output, so as to reduce the country's dependence on imports; however those in charge of textile production appreciate the contribution of foreign machines to China's textile industry, as modern and efficient foreign machines elevate the quality of Chinese textile production. The many problems beseting the import of textile machines are discussed.
