| Abstract | The 30,000 square metres Light Textile City is a famous market for retailing and whole-saling of all kinds of textiles, particularly fabrics, with many shops and altogether 15,000 business offices. Sales have reached 8.7 billion Yuan annually, making it the biggest fabric market in Asia. In 1994 a total of 2.4 billion square metres of fabric were sold, enough to produce one new garment for every inhabitant of China. |
