Abstract | A charity dinner was organised to feature Haute Couture in the most opulent of settings - the Grand Hyatt Hotel. For the Haute Couture Francaise 1995, celebrities were out in strength and the local stars had a field day, savouring a rich dinner in aid of charity together with a sampling of 100 of the newest designs for the Autumn-Winter collections from 11 of Paris' leading fashion houses. Mixing retrospective and modernism, daywear pragmatism and nightime glamour, the houses offered a sampling of the season's most chic, most showy and, in the grand finale, decidedly most opulent of fairytale nights when the spotlights shone on femmes fatales. |
