| Abstract | A system of export tax rebate has been in force in China since 1985, but then the annual total amount of rebate was a mere 2 billion Yuan. The grand total of 75 billion Yuan of export tax rebate has become a heavy expense for the central government. In view of the vast amount of rebate cheating and falsification of records are rampant, a new ratio of rebate was adopted from 1 July 1995. |
