| Abstract | To verify cotton quality and quantity, officials from the State Economic & Trading Commission and the Bureau of Technological Supervision undertook a nationwide tour of textile mills and inspected the quality of 100,000 tonnes of cotton selected at random in December 1994. Inspection were done in the three major cotton-consuming regions of Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai, and the nine major cotton producing provinces of Xinjiang, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu, Hubei, Anhui, Hunan and Jiangxi. The results are provided in this article. |
