AbstractRadiofrequency Catheter (RF) modification of the AV node is becoming the treatment of choice in patients with symptomatic AV nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) since its introduction in 1990. The hospital, RF ablation and outpatient records of patients who had undergone RF ablation at Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Hong Kong since October 1994 were reviewed. Patient suffering from AVNRT were studied and the procedure complication and outcome were noted. Radiofrequency catheter ablation is concluded to be a safe and effective modality in the treatment of patients with AVNRT.
