Abstract | The marking label stitched to each bale of cotton is a piece of cloth measuring 1 x 0.4 metres on which the fibre length and grade rating are stencilled. From early 1995 the Textile Fibre Inspection & Test Bureau in Xiangfan city of Hubei province received complaints from many textile mills about the wrong quality of cotton supplied by the local Cotton Reserve Godown. |
