| Abstract | In 1995 China exported over eight billion articles of clothing, with the total value of clothing and accessories exports reaching US$24 billion, making China the world's No.1 clothing exporter. However the total value of the exports increased by only 1.2%, as against an increase of 27.6% in 1994, making 1995 the year of least progress for the entire 17 years of the economic reform period. |
