| Abstract | It is amazing how in such a short period and with relatively little media publicity, the new consumerism of bottled water could have swept China, thanks perhaps, to the growing number of domestic tourists running around the country demonstrating the vogue in the cities. Whatever the price, bottled water costs more than milk. As for the quality of bottled water, however, many consumers have actually failed to get their money's worth. As is often the case for any instant industrial boom, enforcement of regulations in the water industry is minimal. |
