| Abstract | There are some 500 active software houses in Hong Kong, most employing less than 30. They mainly focus on supplementing local software development services and selling overseas packages with modifications. Unlike Taiwan and Singapore, where there are a plenitude of large-scale software houses devoted to designing software packages, Hong Kong software companies are usually smalltime resellers. This article provides the reasons for its slow growth and the way to expand further. |
