AbstractA new technique developed in Taiwan employs a filament charging device based on the principle of a two-electrode system. This serves to separate a multifilament yarn. The separated filaments are then mixed with the staple fibres of a roving at the roller nip on a ring spinning frame. Subsequently the blended ribbon is twisted to form a yarn.
