Is Part OfTextile Asia : the Asian textile & apparel monthly ; v.26, no.3, Mar 1995, p.51.
AbstractAn official survey of 20 major textile producing cities in China shows that profitability in most silk textile plants has declined, with the ratio of loss-making plants rising to 33.8% or 123 plants in January-September of 1994, 16% more than in the same period of 1993. The total loss is 170 million yuan, up by 105%, while profits earned fell by 46%. Prospects for 1995 look no better.
