| Abstract | Changbai, a mysterious canyon in northeast China's Changbai Mountain, which has remained undisturbed for more than 200 years, may become one of China's major tourist attractions. Located at southeast Jilin province, it has been a nature reserve since 1960. It boasts lush virgin forest, a deep crater lake and a 68m waterfall. In 1980, the reserve was included in the protection list of Unesco's Man and the Biosphere Council. |
