| Abstract | As barriers to trade and capital fall around the world and as technology inexorably extends the frontiers of financial activity, Hong Kong will find that in order to remain competitive it must maintain conditions which will continue to attract international users of capital and international investors. One might ask: why focus on international users of capital and international investors. Are domestic capital users and investors not also important? The answer is that they are, of course, important but they are greatly assisted by the high expectations of their international colleagues. |
