AbstractOn the plateau north of the Himalayas known as the "Roof of the World" lives one of China's 55 minorities, the Tibetans. By tradition, the Tibetans are all pious adherents of Lamaism which belongs to Mahayana school of Buddhism. Tibet has kept its religious beliefs and traditions so well that many other Buddhists describe it as "the last piece of clean earth of Buddhism."
