| Abstract | There is a well-known Chinese saying: "Although the fuel has been consumed, the torch is handed over to generations to come." This saying is particularly apt for followers of Buddhism. SInce the time of the religion's founder, Sakyamuni, the spiritual "torch" has been passed on from generation to generation. The torch is the record of his teaching and preaching, the sacred Buddhist scriptures. |
