| Abstract | With the end of the year looming and corporate profits looking gloomy, many listed companies have more on their minds than hunting for two non-executive independent directors to place on their boards. Yet stock exchange regulations promulgated 1993 require all listed companies to appoint, by year's end, two such directors to act as watchdogs for minority concerns and ensure an objective prescence on the board. |
