| Abstract | David Davies, who is chairman of First Pacific Davies and director of a swathe of other subsidiaries under the Hongkong-listed First Pacific umbrella, rejects the doomsday scenarios forecast for the Hong Kong property market that are doing the rounds in the investment community at the moment. He believes, too, that demand from mainland speculators will steer the market through and beyond the resumption of Chinese sovereignty in 1997 and there will be world-wide demand for buildings in China. |
