AbstractNeoclassical style has become the insignia of the Peninsula Group. The original 1927 Aston Webb design for The Peninsula hotel in Hong Kong set the trend, reinforced by the group's takeover in 1988 of the Beaux Art-style Gotheum hotel to become the New York Peninsula. So, a decision was taken to infuse the 1970s Manila Peninsula with a period setting Filipinos can identify with. An Hong Kong interior design company sourced local culture, identified its essence, and updated and incorporated it into the new concept.
