| Abstract | With just over six months to go before draft legislation of the Mandatory Provident Fund is submitted to Legco, talks between the government and fund managers on investment guidelines are deadlock. The stumbling block is the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's insistence that at least 50 per cent of the pension scheme's assets be denominated in Hong Kong dollars. Fund managers claim the ruling could curb employees' investment returns. |
