| Abstract | Recognising the need to improve the sharing of information between departments, and to reduce the overall support burden, Hongkong Telecom established its PC LAN StrAtegy Group. The Group's mission was to centralise control of the network and facilitate higher levels of network management. The Group moved to link all of the company's computers on an extended LAN, and installed 8,000 nodes of Intel's LANDesk Management Suite to monitor server performance throughout the network. |
