| Abstract | This article covers topics related to the sea freight container transport business in China. It explains the laws and regulations imposed and the market of the industry. The trading pattern, cargo flow, the prosperity of the Pearl River and the Yantze River Deltas, and the marketing of the sea freight transport business are described. Several issues regarding the collection of freight and credit terms are also discussed. They include the liquidity crisis faced by China, the remedial ways to solve the problem of long outstanding receivables, the impact of the new credit terms, China's legal system on business against risks, policies on credit and freight receivable account and alliance on tight credit terms. |
