| Abstract | Increasing numbers of reports of wife abuse have been recorded by police, family service agencies and hospitals. According to figures from one agency, Harmony House, there were 2,544 cases reported by phone in 1992. More resources should be allocated to help the abused wives, so that they can receive the basic care and enjoy fair choices in meeting their needs, said Miss Phyllis Wong of Harmony House. |
