| Abstract | The majority of Hong Kong apartments do not have a separate entry area or hall - the front door opens directly into the main living room. This not only has poor fung shui implications, but it also results in a lot of accumulated clutter - bags, coats, sports equipment and so on - being dumped in the sitting room when it would be much better hidden elsewhere. There are however many ways of giving the impression of a separate area, while the plainest and smallest entries and lobbies can be bursting with design potential. |
