| Abstract | The Constitutional Affairs Committee of Legco recently discussed the validity of compensation for councillors who cannot get on the "through train." It was said that the secretary of the committee evaded all questions in the meeting, simply reiterating that the current Legco can go beyond the handover. It is ridiculous enough that councillors are asking for compensation for having to stand down, yet it is an extreme of the ostrich principle that government officials continue to ask councillors to believe in the myth that there will be a through train. |
