| Abstract | The region around Hong Kong is preparing to meet its goals for economic growth by a variety of transportation projects. Hong Kong itself is the scene of one of the world's current major rail projects in the form of the new Chek Lap Kok railway. And the city's urban and suburban transport rail systems -- among the most successful in the world -- are expanding. |
