| Abstract | Growing public expenditure on health care has not lessened the public's preference for private medical care services, according to Ying Chu Ng and Sung-ko Li, assistant professors of the Department of Economics, Hong Kong Baptist University. They studied Hong Kong households' usage of private family doctor services against their utilization of public health service and discovered people whose employers provide for health expenses and those who fall into higher income brackets are more likely to visit their physician. |
