| Abstract | The Pat Sin Leng hillfire, the most serious one in Hong Kong's history, has again spotlighted the problem of qualified medical resources. The endless hours of treatment by doctors at the Prince of Wales Hospital of six burns victims, ages 12 to 14, since early February 1996 has stretched the hospital to its limit, causing criticisms by the hospital staff and the public of the hospital's resources. The debate brings up the issue of applying information technology solutions to clinical operations. |
