| Abstract | Foreign trade and economic cooperation is part and parcel of both the national economy and the opening-up programme, serving as the bridge linking China's economy with the world economy. With the guidance of the general policy of reform and opening-up initiated by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Jiang Zemin as the core and thanks to the care and supprt of various departments and all levels of governments, China's foreign trade and econimic cooperation undertaking has scored stupendous achievements during the 8th Five-Year Plan period (1991-1995). |
