| Abstract | China sits squarely in the New Zealand Dairy Board's sights as closing markets in Europe, US export subsidies and cash-flow problems in the former Soviet Union take their toll on the board's activities. At only 33-years-old a relative stripling in the world of food companies, the board, in the form of New Zealand Milk Products (China) Ltd, plans to secure firm foothold in China. The company hopes growing wealth will translate into changing dietary patterns as quotas for imported dairy products in Europe continue to shrink. |
