| Abstract | The Chinese character for "one" or yi, is perhaps the first word every Chinese child learns because of its simplicity. Yet in the recently completed monumental lexicon, The Comprehensive Chinese Dictionary (CCD), yi commands some 2,000 entries, with as many as 115 pages devoted to explanations and examples of terms, phrases and idioms starting with this character. |
