| Abstract | Travellers heading for Jiuzhaigou, a real-life Shangri-La hidden in the rolling mountains of northern Sichuan province, prefer to take the route from Guangyuan, the first city in Sichuan they come to via the scenic Baoji-Chengdu railway. The journey takes only one day compared with two from Chengdu, the provincial capital, and is doubly rewarding because Guangyuan has many unique historical sites, such as the ancient Shu Path. |
