| Abstract | "I like to have variety in my work, with lots of different styles and media," smiles Tung Hing-yee. "I get bored if I always do the same thing." Tung's most recent works, inspired by primitive rock paintings in Africa and China, are executed in Chinese ink, Chinese colour, and acrylic on rice paper. A former fabric designer, Tung has developed an innovative technique, building up many layers of paint to produce richly textured works which resemble textiles. |
