| Abstract | In the ensuing months, renewed concerns over intellectual property and China's swelling trade imbalance have touched off still more hand-wringing in Washington - topped off most recently by the July 1994 release of a Treasury Department report damning China for what Treasury says is manipulation of its exchange rate system to gain unfair trade advantages. This marks the third consecutive year that the report has cited China for alleged foreign exchange manipulation. |
