Abstract | Every morning and late evening it is common to find women and men with carts brimming with varieties of apparel - and hardly an item costing more than $100. Hundreds of small clothes shops decorate their walls and ceilings, sometimes the pavements outside, with a plethora of attire. And these scenes are continually enacted on Hong Kong street corners, from Tsim Sha Tsui's Granville Road, well-known for its so-called factory outlets, to Lai Chi Kok Road in Sham Shui Po and Marble Street in North Point. |
