| Abstract | Recently aircraft manufacturers SMB and British Aerospace have been actively marketing the development of urban commuter ports for regional operations. Presently it is the intention of the Hongkong government to close the existing facilities of Kai Tak when Chek Lap Kok (CLK) opens. If the CLK master plan does not take in account the operational characteristics of a regional airport, a scaled down version of Kai Tak should remain in operation. |
