AbstractWestern food companies like Nestle, Quaker Oats and Unilever are reportedly researching traditional Chinese medicines for use in popular foods. Herbs like ginger, ginseng and wolfberry have been classified as "functional foods" by industry specialists, and are currently undergoing ingredient analysis to determine exactly how traditional medicine may benefit the body.
