| Abstract | China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corp is a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corp and is the company solely designated by the Chinese Government to contract for overseas oil and gas engineering projects. On December 30, 1995, it signed a US$400 million contract with the Kuwait Oil Co. to assume full responsibility for the construction of oil storage station in the west of the country. It is reportedly the largest project funded by the Kuwaiti Government since the Gulf War ended in late February 1991. |
