Abstract | Hong Kong's environment has become worse over the past two years and the outlook is not encouraging, a survey of 5,744 residents has found. But at the same time, individuals are making significant efforts to reduce their wasteloads and conserve resources. The survey was commissioned by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) and carried out by the University of Hong Kong's Social Sciences Research Centre to measure public attitudes on the environment and compare them with a similar poll two years ago. The current survey also looks at how people view the environment in their local district. |
