| Abstract | Hong Kong people throw away 15 million plastic bags each day or about three bags per person, weighing roughly 300 tonnes. On a yearly basis, it is almost the equivalent of a pile the size of Exchange Square Tower One in just plastic bags! Excessive is the key word. The bags have invaded almost every area of retailing to th point that it is difficult to imagine how shoppers coped before the use of plastic. |
