| Abstract | The Harbourfront development marks the completion of the urban transformation of Whampoa Dock and Shipyard into a primarily middle class residential area. Such a prime site on the waterfront, with magnificent views across Victoria Harbour, was deemed too good for an industrial facility, so the JDH Centre, which previously occupied the site, was demolished. |
