| Abstract | The government ruled that Cable & Wireless couldn't get into the television business even though it had been in it for years, piping Shatin race course video signals into Happy Valley every Saturday. It also had usefully served as a gateway for overseas TV signals - but suffice to say Hong Kong had the means to have cable television years before it so noisily arrives now. |
