| Abstract | China's B-share markets are dying a slow and painfully quiet death as investors and liquidity remain scarce. In an apparent effort to counter this gradual descent into the investment graveyard, Beijing has shifted regulatory powers to the government-run Securities Commission and China Securities Regulatory Commission and away from the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exhanges; new and standardized regulations have also been announced. |
