Abstract | The China Spark Foundation, a non-profit social organization aimed at developing areas which were bases of resistance against Japanese invasion in the 1937-45 war, was officially established in Hong Kong on Tuesday. The resistance movements, which mostly began in mountainous areas, were sparks that ignited the Chinese revolution. However, these areas were neglected after 1949 and are largely underdeveloped compared with the more prosperous coastal areas. |
