| Abstract | Software theft came under increasing pressure in Asia in 1995 as a result of the increased activities targeted at combating the thieves, but resulting reductions in software theft have been only marginal. Software theft in some areas such as Hong Kong and China has spread beyond their borders to threaten the ongoing success of the software industry in the region. |
