| Abstract | In order to provide a better service to the public, the 1.2 million register cards have all been microfilmed recently. "The microfilmed records are indexed for easy retrieval by means of a computer assisted retrieval system (CAR). By keying in the lot number and address, CAR will automatically identify the roll number and location of the register card on the roll film. Upon inserting the roll into the system, the computer will trace the microfilmed register card and print a hard copy of it," explains Mr. Herbert Ho, Deputy Registry Manager / Search and Technical Services. |
