AbstractMexico's recent currency disaster is unlikely to repeat itself in Asia, according to the latest Salomon Brothers Asia-Pacific Economic Analysis. The region's foreign exchange arrangements are stable enough, says the report, that investors should remain confident. The anaylsis focussed on Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia, all three of which follow well-defined foreign exchange rate policy and are linked to the American dollar.
