| Abstract | The year of 1992 is a cornerstone for development of accounting standards in China. During 1992, three national accounting regulations were issued by the Ministry of Finance to meet the increasing demand of harmonisation with international accounting standards following the rapid growth of the economy and foreign investments. This article talks about the regulations and their inadequancies. |
