| Abstract | According to the annual fleet statistics released in January 1996, the total number of vessels owned by members of The Hong Kong Shipowners Association dropped by 88 to a total of 1161 ships during 1995. In deadweight terms the fleet decreased by 5.6 million dwt or 3.77 million gross registered tons to 56 million dwt or 33.1 grt. |
